1st DAY: Cusco – Chilca – Wayllabamba (Lunch & Dinner)
Very early in the morning, our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco, to take the bus to the town of Chilca and start our trek along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. After walking for about three hours, we’ll stop for lunch. Then, we’ll head off towards the first camp, in Wayllabamba. On the way, we’ll have a guided tour of the Archaeological Complex of Llactapata. Dinner and overnight stay in tents, at the campsite.
2nd DAY: Wayllabamba – Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayo (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
After breakfast, we’ll face the toughest part of the hike, to reach the highest point on the Inca Trail, where we’ll enjoy an unbelievable panoramic view of the whole region and will observe different types of microclimates. After a 3 hour walk, we’ll get to the first mountain pass, named Warmiwañiusca, at about 4,200 m. of altitude. Once there, we’ll feel a tremendous sensation of achievement, along with the relief of having reached the top. After lunch, we’ll continue walking down to Pacaymayo, where we’ll set up our camp and have dinner.
3rd DAY: Pacaymayu – Puya Patamarka – Wiñay Huayna (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
After breakfast, we’ll start to go down towards the second most important mountain pass of the trail, at 3,850 m. above sea level, to benefit from a guided visit of the Archaeological Complex of Runkurakay and the Incan Citadel of Sayacmarca. Then, we’ll go on our trek towards Puya Patamarka (High Place at Cloud-Level), another important archaeological site, where lunch will be served. After a short break, we’ll follow the trail to Wiñay Huayna (Forever Young), where we´ll go on the guided visit of the impressive archaeological complex and enjoy its spectacular setting. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.
4th DAY: Wiñay Huayna – Machu Picchu – Cusco (Breakfast)
After breakfast, we’ll have a very early start, to arrive in time to see the sunrise at Machu Picchu. After a one hour walk through the forest, we’ll get to Inti Punku or Gate of the Sun, also known as the Entrance Gate to Machu Picchu, where you will have the most impressive panoramic view of the Historical Sanctuary. Upon arrival in Machu Picchu, you’ll enjoy a three hour guided tour, visiting the main sites and monuments. After the tour, you’ll have free time to wander around the complex and then, meet with the rest of the group, to go back down by bus to Aguas Calientes (Hot Waters); the nearest village to Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, return by train to Cusco, transfer to your hotel and end of our services.

Note: In the private service during the hike, you just carry your day pack. In the pool service, you will have to carry your sleeping bag, pad and personal stuff (e.g. backpack). You can request a personal porter. In the pool service B, the meals are basic, as well as the camping equipment.
