Here is another great mountain biking trip for those with some experience. It’s rated moderate to difficult and has some downhills and single tracks. It operates from April to October.
1st DAY: CUSCO – TRES CRUCES: Early in the morning, we’ll leave Cusco, to start the ride in Qolqepata (2 h.30). Arrival at Paucartambo to have lunch, a rest and visit the town. After lunch, we’ll go to Tres Cruces (Three Crosses). (Lunch, Dinner and camp).
2nd DAY: TRES CRUCES – CLOUD FOREST: Nice view of the Sun rising at Tres Cruces and breakfast. Mid-morning, we’ll start our trip into the Cloud Forest, all downhill and through amazing landscapes (4 hours). Lunch on the way. Overnight stay in Pilcopata. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and lodge).
3rd DAY: CLOUD FOREST – ATALAYA: Early in the morning, short hike to see some local animals. After breakfast, we’ll start riding on a flat area to Atalaya. Then, we’ll go on a boat or rafting trip on the huge river and visit a native village. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and lodge).
4th DAY: ATALAYA – PAUCARTAMBO – CUSCO: Early morning breakfast and back to Cusco. Option to ride downhill on the way, between Ajcanaco and Paucartambo. After lunch, return to Cusco.
FEATURES: Moderate to difficult biking.Variety of terrain, downhills and single tracks.
INCLUDES: Private transportation during the whole trip. All meals during the biking (4 days / 3 nights), including snacks. One night camping and two nights at a lodge.
